The role of HR Operations Specialist is responsible for managing the day-to-day HR Operations and payroll tasks for the Thailand.
Responsibilities
Accountable for processing payroll by ensuring that complete and accurate data is provided to the in country payroll provider
Performs all other duties as assigned related to local legal and statutory requirements, reporting or local legal processes
Working closely with APAC HR team to deliver on any non-standard HR processes
Develops and maintains a strong working partnerships with counterparts within the, In country Payroll Provider, HRO supplier and IRM CoE (Centers of Expertise) organizations
Works closely with the In country Payroll Provider (ICP), HRO supplier and CoE on day-to-day inquiries and escalations, providing Tier 3 process support for payroll and HR Operations
Coordinates with CoE and Regional Hubs to ensure Service Delivery Hub Tier 0 and Tier 1 documentation is maintained
WFA support where required
Works continuous improvement efforts between ICP, CoEs and HRO and technology suppliers, adhering to IRM and supplier change control processes; supports projects related to continuous improvement for Payroll
Coordinates the work to be done with operational counterparts within the HRO supplier organisation
Provides input to and participates in educating process users (e.g., HRO suppliers, HR users) on new processes and updates to existing processes
Reviews documented processes for HR organisation and manager and employee-facing How To guides; provides support for process inventory maintenance
Works closely with the relevant technology vendors, ICP and HRO suppliers to resolve specific issues
Performs functional testing as required in systems (e.g.Workday), and other systems as needed
Participates in root cause analysis efforts (led by suppliers) to address performance deficiencies or specific issues related to HR Operations
Key Skills, Requirements and Competencies
At least 3+ years’ experience in payroll area, preferable in international companies (working in Shared Services organisation will be an asset)
Knowledge and understanding of legal regulations and country statutory requirements
Understanding of all required payroll cycle related reportings and obligations towards authorities
Ability to assume responsibility for assignments and to perform them in accordance with minimal supervision
Attention to details and high level quality, highly organized and able to work efficiently
Ability to work under pressure and according to strict deadlines
Demonstrating high values and ethics
Comfort around working with different systems and reading and interpreting data
Flexibility and openness to learn new things
Team Working attitude
Good communication skills both Thai and English
Willing to work in Samut Prakarn, Thailand
Amenable to work for fixed-term role (contract role) for 2
