HR Product Owner - Global Time & Attendance

Organization: GBS/ HR Service Delivery

Team: Global Portfolio or Global Ops Enablement

The Global Timekeeping HR Product Owner is a new role within Iron Mountain’s Global HR Service Delivery & Operations function. In this role, the candidate will be responsible for overseeing the support model and roadmap of the Iron Mountain timekeeping solutions, with an initial focus on Kronos Workforce Dimensions (WFD) utilized in North America today. This position will interface with multiple teams including business end users, internal / external application support administrators, vendors, Global Payroll, HR Operations, Global Technology, Legal etc. to lead the design, development, programming and support of custom interfaces, and reports.

The ideal candidate will act as the primary contact for the business, be expected to understand business challenges and requirements across a wide range of stakeholders and customers, and have the vision to translate them into compliant system requirements in collaboration with Payroll, Global Technology, and Legal. The ideal candidate will also be a process-driven, strategic thinker with strong organizational and excellent communication skills who has the ability to successfully work with all areas of the business. Analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills are required.

Specific Responsibilities

Act as Kronos WFD Product Owner (Super-User) for the HR Payroll area and relevant touch points and for all future timekeeping solutions

Ensure Kronos WFD system functionality is configured in compliance with US/Canada Federal State/Provincial wage and hour employment laws.

Liaise with other relevant stakeholders such as Global Payroll, Compensation, HR Service Delivery, IT and Legal to collaborate on business requirement documentation, design and testing of all enhancements.

Assist HR Operations Team and HR Leadership as needed with timekeeping related escalations and to support implementation of new policies

Partner with outsourced Application Management Service (AMS) provider to support and maintain new system functionality as well as any system related requests or inquiries (including reporting and analytics)

Provide mentoring and training of end users on new changes or enhancements. This would include partnering with Learning to update business processes and end user materials

Gather all business requirements for enhancements, defects, and ad hoc requests and quality testing; conduct and sign off on functional/user acceptance testing with stakeholders; is in constant communication with stakeholders concerning the status of in-progress work and preparation for upcoming work

Reporting and Analytics

By managing the AMS team, develop, maintain and support a variety of ad hoc reports for end users

Assist in development of standard reports for ongoing business needs

Ensure data integrity between Workday and Kronos WFD (and other timekeeping solutions as developed) by querying and analyzing the data passing back and forth between systems.

Coordinate with HR Operations, Internal Audit and Legal teams to provide reporting as needed

Audit and Compliance

Thoroughly review and enhance any current audit related protocols to ensure ongoing audits of relevant data occur in a defined cadence.

Troubleshoot root causes of audit issues identified and ensure ongoing solutions in place to prevent future occurrences. This includes but is not limited to data exchanges between Workday HR System to all time and attendance applications

Ensure compliance with documented Iron Mountain SOX Controls

Comply with all Data Privacy Laws

Additional Responsibilities

Experience in gathering business related requirements

Responsibility for contributing to the development and delivery of training and supplemental materials for a diverse population.

Presenting best practices, creating current and future state process flows as needed, recommending solutions, configuring, creating test strategies, scenarios and scripts and leading all phases of the time and attendance life cycle.

Special projects at the request of Leadership.


Bachelor's degree

5+ years of relevant experience

Kronos WFD expertise required

Strong experience with and affinity for data integrity and HR systems (Workday)

Experience with various Time and Attendance, Absence Management, Payroll interfaces in addition to Kronos WFD a plus

An energetic individual who can meet the challenges of a fast paced environment, with the comfort and skill to quickly change priorities to meet the needs of the business

Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills with ability to build relationships and influence across broad range of stakeholders, including senior executives

Must be adept at listening critically to customers and HR peers, and being empathetic and responsive to their needs and concerns through a strong devotion to customer service and technical excellence

Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical solutions or concepts into simple, meaningful messaging for non-technical audiences

Exceptional attention and focus on continuous improvement to deliver a simple, streamlined employee/customer experience

Travel: Up to 10% travel may be required.
